In recognition of the importance of staying connected and the extra difficulty that this can cause to our Rural and Regional Community we are please to announce a new Facebook group that has been set up. The aim of the new group called "Somerville House Rural and Regional Network" is to allow our Old Girls to connect to those in their area to create new friendships, renew old school ties and foster a sense of belonging in rural/regional areas of Australia where it can sometimes feel quite isolating. The group will be open to not only Old Girls but also current Boarder families. The Facebook page will be a closed community group. Our own Old Girl Tracey Martin (Class of 1992) living in a regional community has pioneered this new era of reaching out and we look forward to following it's success. If you are an Old Girl or know of an Old Girl or current Boarding family who lives in either a rural or regional area of Australia, please help us to spread the word on this support group.
