Congratulations to Bron Langford Martoo (Class of 1991) on winning four awards at the recently held Wondai Regional Art Gallery (http://wondaiartgallery.org.au/) held on Friday 2nd October, 2020 and judged by Michael Eather of Fireworks Gallery in Brisbane.

Bron thanks the South Burnett Reional Council for sponsoring the event, along with other sponsors Bendigo Bank, Parkside Group, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council, Kathy Duff (Councillor), Wondai Lions Club, Bunnings, Senator James McGrath, Ken O'Dowd MP (Federal Member for Flynn), Wondai Regional Art Gallery and Wondai Country Market.  She is pictured above with Elaine Madill (Past President of the Wondai Regional Art Gallery for 13 years and recipient of an OAM for her contributions to the community). Bron is currently working as an Art Teacher at Saint Mary's Catholic College Kingaroy. She was able to use the experience in lockdown to reconnect with marking art.  The pieces (pictured below) are about environmental issues and also her parents separation during high school and dealing with that as her own daughters reach that same age.  Congratulations on your amazing achievement Bron!
