The winning submission will become the cover photo for ABSA for the next six months.
A special shout out to all boarding students who have faced hardship in their studies through either being separated from family and unable to return home or unable to attend school due to travel restrictions, including OG Beatrice Mahuru (Class of 1991) whose daughter and current student Tyla has been completing online classes in Port Moresby, PNG, while awaiting Australian Border Force approval. We share the below picture of Tyla with traditional tattoos and national dress called the Meri Dress/Blouse that she shared with the school for PNG Independence Day.
We understand many families within the OGA community may also be facing hardship due to restrictions surrounding Covid-19 experiencing either personal separation from family members or financial difficulty due to restricted business arrangements. Your community stands beside you in these difficult times.
