Congratulations to Doone Hansen (Class of 2006) on recently being awarded Australian Young Achiever of the Year 2022, pictured below with fellow award recipients.

Doone was presented the award at Australia House in London by the High Comissioner for Australia, His Excellency the Honourable George Brandis QC. Doone is Founder and hosts podcasts for Female Startup Club featuring relatable girlfriend to girlfriend style chats with learnings, tips and insights from inspirational female entrepreneurs. Since launching in 2020 more than 300 female entrepreneurs have been interviewed with the series rating in the top 1% of podcasts listened to globally. Prior to launching the podcast series Doone spent 10 years in digital marketing and ecommerce at The Iconic, collaborating with global brands like Snapchat and IMG. She was inspired to launch the series after conversations with female founders on their experiences and was inspired by the book "Tools of Titans" by Tim Ferris featuring a no BS approach to becoming highly successful. Doone launched the series with the mission to educate and elevate women.
Doone has recently published her first book "Your Hype Girl." featuring 51 female entrepreneurs and encouraging young women to achieve launched in 2022 on International Women's Day. Doone also acts as a mentor to women in the New Wave program in NSW and donates a percentage of course profits to the Malala fund - focussed on female education.
