"A Generous Life" Margaret Olley features at GOMA

Showing from the 15th June to 13th October, 2019 at GOMA, "A Generous Life" examines the legacy and influence of much loved artist and Old Girl, Margaret Olley (1923 - 2011).   The exhibition features an exciting schedule of viewings, tours and talks, as well as a richly illustrated  accompanying book, which pays tribute to Olley's art, friendships and philanthropy.  The below two paintings "Hawkesbury Wildflowers and "Portrait of Margaret Olley" have both been loaned from Somerville House to GOMA for use in the exhibition.

A Celebration of 1949 to 1959 Old Girls of Somerville House

A lovely high tea was held at Cumbooquepa on Saturday 15th June, 2019 for our Old Girls to celebrate their 65 to 75 year Reunion.  Ladies from 1944 to 1954 were able to reminisce on stories from their times together and catch up on more recent news.  The Old Girls Association proudly presented the ladies with a special 50 year commemorative badge to celebrate a half century of being an Old Girl.We
