Old Girl Alyce Carpin (Parasyn) (Class of 2004) has kindly offered special pricing with her legal firm, Hatzis Lawyers, co-owned with her mother, also an Old Girl, Katherine Parasyn. In a fantastic story of intergenerational success Alyce and her mother were admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland at the same time. Their admission was moved by Katherine's sister and Barrister, Jillian Francis (see full story HERE). Alyce's daughter, Celeste Carpin, is also a current student at the school and so Alyce is well aware of the challenges that the school and extended school community is facing at this diffiult time. 3. For couples - simple Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney - $770 (Standard Cost $935)
4. For individual - Enduring Power of Attorney - $165 (Standard Cost $220)
5. For individual - Advanced Health Directives - $165 (Standard Cost $220)
In addition to these discounts Alyce has offered an additional 10% discount to all members of the OGA and to families and staff of Somerville House for all matters they may engage Hatzis Lawyers to act for them. OGA Members are also offered an intial 30 minute consultation - free of charge. They encourage this appointment to take place via telephone/Skype/Zoom at this time. Hourly rates would apply thereafter.
As face to face witnessing is still a legal requirement they are able to offer home visits and in office appointments or they can come to clien't vehicles - at a destination suitable to all parties. Staff are currently wearing masks and gloves during these appointments and can also offer clients protective gear. For patients that are unable to physically sign an enduring power of attorney they may have the possibility of appointing a third party to sign on their behalf in their presence. As a measure of safety to clients and staff they are only permitting clients into the office who have an apoointment and are only taking one appointment at a time so that the office can be sanitized before and after every visit.
