Old Girl, Justice Anthe Philippides (Class of 1976) has recently retired from the Court of Appeal in the Queensland Supreme Court after 20 years as a Judge. She was one of the first female Queen’s Counsel and Supreme Court Judges (2000 to 2014) and then Court of Appeal Judges (2014 to 2021).
Among her many achievements, Justice Philippides was the University of Queensland’s first law graduate to be awarded a British Council Commonwealth Scholarship for a Master of Law Degree at Cambridge University.
