Welcome Kate Golder (Class of 1995), recently elected OGA President at the AGM held on 18th November, 2021

Kate Golder is a Somerville House Old Girl having graduated in 1995 and is also a current Somerville parent. With more than 20 years’ experience in the finance industry, Kate is now Executive Director and Senior Financial Adviser with the Alteris Financial Group.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Asian studies. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and became a Certified Financial Planner in 2004.
Kate has been a regular finance panellist on television and a commentator in financial publications including the Australian Financial Review. In 2020 and 2021, Kate was named as one of Australia’s top 100 financial advisers.
As president of the Old Girl’s Association, Kate’s goal is to continue to build on the work of past leaders to ensure the Association continues to grow as a relevant and progressive organisation providing a community for past students to maintain, strengthen and develop connections with fellow Old Girls, current students and other members of the Somerville House family.
Kate also encourages any Old Girls who haven’t previously been to an OGA event to make 2022 the year to do so. “There are so many opportunities for past students to remain connected with each other and the school including networking events, reunions, Commemoration Day service and lunch and the Somerville House birthday lunch and with Covid lockdowns hopefully behind us, now is the time to get involved” Kate said.
