Sep 01, 2019

The OGA is pleased to host "The Inaugural Somerville House 120th Birthday Lunch" to be held on Saturday 12th October, 2019 from 12 MIDDAY in the Honour Room, Foundation Building, Somerville House.  Tickets are now on sale via the following link https://www.somervillehouseoga.com.au/events/21085

The lunch promises to be a truely celebratory occasion with our entire Somerville House community invited (Old Girls, Current Parents, Staff and our wider Somerville copmmunity).  Attendees can look forward to catering provided by Alastair McLeod's AlFreshCo, Mumm champagne on arrival and a fabulous panel of speakers.  AlFreshCo is the latest venture by highly regarded chef and TV personality Alastair McLeod.  Alastair has worked in many Michelin listed restaurants across the world as well as appeared on Channel Seven's "Queensland Weekender" and Network 10's "Ready Steady Cook". Here in Brisbane he was previously the executive chef of "Brett's Wharf" and much acclaimed "Tank Restaurant and Bar".

We will be introducing our speakers in news digests here over coming weeks.  Talk to your friends and organise a table or we would be more than happy to help partner you up with some other Old Girls.

The Old Girls’ Association invites you to celebrate
120 years of Somerville women.

Somerville House was one of the first schools in Australia dedicated solely to excellence in female education. Founded at a time when women lacked basic rights, Eliza Fewings had an innovative, fresh vision. Our beloved school is the result of her perseverance and passion, and this year Somerville House turns 120.

The entire Somerville House family – as well as parents and partners of past, present and future students – are warmly invited to a special lunch to celebrate this milestone.

We would be honoured to have your company!

Ticket are $95 per person
