Dr Rhyl Hinwood AM CF (Class of 1957) - A Legacy in Stone - Upcoming ABC Broadcast

Catherine Hunter Productions recently announced upcoming ABC broadcast dates for "A Legacy in Stone" celebrating Dr Rhyl Hinwood AM CF (Class of 1957). Rhyl Hinwood, Inspirational Old Girl, has had an incredible career in sculpture spanning over forty years. As a recipient of the Order of Australia and Churchill Fellow, some of her career highlights include carving statues in St John's Anglican Cathedral and the University of Queensland's Great Court and creating the ceramic Australian Coat of Arms for the House of Representatives in Parliament House in Canberra. We are fortunate to have five major works created by Rhyl at Somerville House.  To read more detailed information of Rhyl's time at Somerville House and career highlights she shared with current student Madeleine Webber when interviewed in 2019 please see our earlier story HERE
