The successful recipients of the Old Girl Awards will also be announced at the service.

Following the service we invite you to a light lunch in the Honour Room. Due to COVID restrictions, we are required to change the venue from the Dining Room in Cumbooquepa. Guests are then welcome to participate in a tour of the School from 2.00pm.

Introducing Rebecca Oelkers

Rebecca undertook a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts, after which she completed the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Program in Fontainebleau, France. Her career hasn't been linear and she has many inspiring stories about being open to opportunities and developing personal agility.

Rebecca has worked in the field of community and affordable housing for the past 18 years, leading a number of high-profile projects. In an Australian-first for affordable housing funding, she was responsible for the creation of Gladstone Affordable Housing, securing $20m in initial contributions for this important community project. Rebecca is currently CEO of BHC (formerly Brisbane Housing Company); the largest Community Housing Provider in Queensland, with over 3000 low income households assisted since its inception in 2002.

Rebecca is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and recipient of the 2018 UDIA Women in Leadership Award. She is also an experienced speaker and regularly presents at national, state and local housing forums on housing affordability issues.
